My Craftsman YT4000 - won't leave "free wheel" mode. I've pushed the bypass lever all the way in but it will rolls freely. When I trace the bypass lever back I can feel it moving the switch on the transmission. Mower runs fine and blades will engage but it won't move forward or backward. Check to see the belt is still on and not broke/stretched and for worn pulley's. Check for hydro-static fluid leak or low fluid. Check clutch to see if it is engaging when you switch on, if not check battery condition as it needs good charged ...I have a R110 craftsman riding mower and while in use I mowed over a concrete paver that was as low in the ground as the grass and the blades did not hit the paver but immediately the mower did shake a little and then stopped.
